Virgin Media Broadband is a broadband internet service provider offering broadband internet services in the UK. Virgin Media Broadband has a strong presence in both the in home broadband services market, as well as on mobile devices with their mobile broadband offerings. They are typically considered to have a mid-range price, with the addition of extra bundled services. In addition, those reviewing them have mixed comments, both positive and negative, with no overwhelming swing in either direction.
The most notable service offering through Virgin Media Broadband is the package they call “Triple for £14”, offering up to 10 megabits per second of optic fibre broadband internet service, over 45 digital television channels, and unlimited calling from home to landlines in the UK, as well as all Virgin mobile telephone customers. These services are offered for a combined price of £14.00, payable monthly. In addition, these broadband services come with no download cap, and therefore no charges for additional usage, making this an ideal plan for a heavy user that is interested in never needing to ration the time spent, or downloads accrued, on their service.
Unfortunately, with all new services there is a £35.00 setup fee, which may prove to be unacceptable for those uncertain that they will enjoy the service, or are the sort to try new services and new plans as they become available. All in all, Virgin offers a reasonably priced unlimited service at a good data rate, though some may feel burdened by additional bundled services that may be unwanted.
