Be Broadband is a UK Internet Service Provider (ISP). The company was established in October 2004. It was initially developed, not only as an independent ISP, but as a privately owned company until August 2005, when it began trading on the market. Be Broadband broke records for being the first ISP in the UK to offer its customers download speeds of 2.5Mbps.
Almost a year later, the company was bought by O2. O2, a mobile phone company, acquired Be Broadband in order to access the broadband market. The Be brand is still currently known by its label ‘Be’. Indeed, it is also popularly known to offer the quickest ADSL broadband throughout the UK. Many have recognised Be for its excellent services with several awards. The magazine ‘Which?’, a publication for consumers, also recently gave the company a ‘Best-Buy’ award for its ongoing excellence.
Be Broadband is offered through local loop unbundling (LLU). This is a process by which the company connects clients’ properties to its network service.
Be’s service offerings have all received top ratings from critics. Indeed, none of its broadband options have received lower than four out of five stars. Be’s broadband offers customers a range of options, including Be Unlimited Broadband, Be Pro Broadband and Be Value Broadband.
Be also uses a range of deals and specials to entice customers to sign up for their services. Recently, the company offered the Be Broadband ‘More than 8 Meg’ Campaign, labelled ‘Broadband Heaven’, in addition to a free £24 Amazon Gift Voucher for those who sign up to a one-year contract and quote the promotion offerings.
