Enterprise Vista Service Pack 1

Microsoft is hoping that the recent release of Vista Service Pack 1 will inspire many corporations to migrate to Vista. Currently the adoption of Vista by many companies has been very slow. Microsoft are also hoping that the service pack release will demonstrate high levels of reliability.
There have been many hardware and software issues since the initial release of Vista and Microsoft have been aware of compatibility bugs for some time. Microsoft is offering services which will assit organistation that have internal applications that are struggling to work with the new operating system.

The cost of Vista is coming down in retail outlets and the price reduction will be introduced into 70 countries. The US has seen one of the biggest cost reductions in Vista Ultimate which has gone down to £161. It is thought that the aim of the price reduction is to attract more people to the Vista upgrade.
Brad Brooks the vice president of Microsoft Corporate thinks it will provide more options to sell stand alone copies of Vista.
